Trevor Guest owned G & S Engineering & Maintenance Co. Ltd, who built railways & railway equipment from their Stourbridge, West Midlands base.
Guest locos and vehicles were extensively used on the 15 inch Fairbourne Railway almost from the moment John Wilkins bought the line in 1946. However, Trevor Guest became involved in railways in 1936 when he built locos & vehicles for the 10-inch gauge line he built in the grounds of Dudley Zoo. That line was later converted to 15 inch gauge.
